The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and the state polls will start at 8 am on Tuesday.
As the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 concluded on June 1, the counting of votes will begin on Tuesday (June 4) from 8 am. Counting will be done for 543 Lok Sabha seats including 129 seats in South India. 1. Madhavi Latha from Hyderabad
She is the BJP's first-ever female candidate in Telangana. Latha has been challenging Owaisi's dominance in the constituency with her pitch of development, women's rights and alleged Muslim radicalisation.
2. Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad (Kerala)
The Congress leader is the sitting MP from the seat. In this election, Rahul Gandhi once again contested from Wayanad along with Rae Bareil in UP.
3. Rajeev Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram
Union MoS IT Rajeev Chandrashekhar is contesting as a BJP candidate from Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram. He has represented Karnataka in the Rajya Sabha.
4. Asaduddin Owaisi from Hyderabad
He is a 4-time Member of Parliament representing the Hyderabad constituency in Lok Sabha. This time, he is against the BJP's Madhavi Latha. Hyderabad seat is one of the key seats to watch out for.
5. Shashi Tharoor from Thiruvananthapuram
The Congress leader has been an MP for Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) since 2009. This time too, he is contesting from the same seat.
